Lyall's still fussing with his clothes when Biffy heads to the staircase, and it wouldn't do to take longer, but he's well aware that he's not at the peak of neatness. He falls a step behind by instinct as a Beta, used to the appearance of standing by but not in front of his Alpha, and also in a fit of nervous propriety: this is not his house.
Biffy's hand in his reassures him more than he'd like to admit, and he gives it a quick squeeze before releasing him to go down the stairs.
Daine is not quite what he expected; she's younger, he thinks, than he imagined, and he's even more horrified that any of their entanglement may have been terribly obvious. The girl is quite lovely, in an unpolished way, and she has a sly humor to her in a way not entirely unlike Lady Maccon. Or like a young Lady Kingair, perhaps. The resemblances end there, for the most part, but though he's a little aghast, there is something he recognizes in her attitude.
He quirks an eyebrow up at Biffy -- Miss Sarrasri has only just met him, albeit under indelicate circumstances, how must it look to declare he might be moving in? But they are pack, after all, besides being lovers, and it feels right to hope for that. He wonders how much Daine might know of him.
"Miss Sarr-" He pauses, reminding himself that several times, he has been given her name as Daine, and that surely Biffy would not make that distinction if it was not. "Daine. Biffy speaks very affectionately of you. I hope that our late schedule didn't inconvenience you."

Oh, some sort of gift is definitely in order.
